Healthy Work in a Healthy Body – Nutrition Training in the Workplace

What goes on in your office after lunch? Are desk spaces filled with more and more coffee mugs huddled together? Is there a proliferation of yawns in front of the monitor? Is worker productivity on the wane?
A person’s physical and mental health is an inherent part of their success at work. Healthy, relaxed, and invigorated workers make better use of their capabilities and contribute significantly to the organization’s success.
One way to keep the workers in proper health is through nutrition – that is, allowing them access to rich, nutritious, and satiating meals that do not burden the body.
Many workers spend long hours in the workplace and the food they are exposed to at work greatly affects their energy levels, their vitality, and their health in the short and the long term.
If they eat meals that are balanced and light, they will feel more alert and energetic, their immune system will become stronger, their body will perform as it should, and thus they will be healthier and miss less workdays.

A Healthy Lifestyle – At Work and At All

During nutrition training for workplace chefs and their teams, I expose them to a variety of healthy alternatives and instruct them in cooking principles based on reduced quantities of oil and sugar, less frying, and increased use of natural ingredients.
In addition, I also demonstrate different recipes for cooked dishes and desserts and provide tips for healthy, ingenious, and tasty meals. Meals that have a positive effect on concentration and thinking capabilities and on a person’s mood, and that prevent sensations of weakness and fatigue.
The main idea is to use the right combination of ingredients exactly in the required quantities. We will focus specially on lunch – the mid-day meal most important for gathering strength for the rest of the workday
Proper nutrition in the workplace constitutes an important message about adopting a healthy lifestyle and the right habits that will follow the workers to their homes during family meals and in their free time.

Companies interested in learning more about healthy nutrition for their employees, making a significant change in the dining room, even offering new menus, can order a cooking course that includes a lecture and practical training in the kitchen. The course will provide a varied list of recipes and many tips on managing a healthy kitchen.
